Welcome to Our Post
Since our charter in May 14, 1946, Rollo-Calcaterra Post #15 has been welcoming veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. Joining our post enables you to continue to serve your country, community & God. Our mission is to implement the goals embodied in our preamble.
The next regular meeting will be on June 21st, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. The House and Officers’ meeting will be on June 28th, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. All are invited to attend. Remember to display our flag on June 14th (Flag Day), and June 19th (Father’s Day).
Please keep our service men and women in our prayers. Pray for their safe and speedy return.
FIRST VICE—First reading of a prospective member. He is Tony Darmer, Army, Vietnam Era Veteran.
SECOND VICE—Report was given on the results of the BBQ. We would like to thank all the members that either worked or purchased food that day. The winners of the 50/50 raffle were Tom Messina ($300.00), Jerry Valli ($100.00), and Alex Kettler ($50.00). Mr Valli donated his winnings back to the post. Congratulations to the winners and thank you Mr. Valli.
ADJUTANT—The following names are the next set of Officers. They are Commander (Al Lancaster), First Vice (Lou Venegoni), Second Vice (Roger Gray), Judge Advocate (Gary Garcia), Finance Officer (Jim Gualdoni), Chaplain (Tom Messina), Historian (John Denando), and Sgt-at – Arms (Jim Venegoni). This group will be sworn in at the July meeting. (Congratulations to all).
FINANCE OFFICER—The financial report was read and accepted.
CHAPLAIN—Tom reported on an almost sick report. Frank Valenti was to undergo surgery, which was cancelled. Instead of sending a get well card, Tom asked for the return of the one sent.
AMERICANISM—Lance reported he will present the Americanism award this Friday May 20th at the St. Ambrose graduation to Claudia Fuse. Congratulation to Miss Fuse.
HOUSE PRESIDENT—Roger reported we have meat for sale from the BBQ.
NEW BUSINESS—Roger stated we are still working to purchase a new stove. It was also brought up that Bill Newlin is in Alexian Brothers Lansdowne Village.
50/50—Winners were Gary Garcia, Jim Appelbaum and Lance Berra. Gary returned his to what is now known as the Stove Fund.
