American Legion Post No. 15

March 2017

The next regular meeting will be on April 18th, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. The House and Officers’ meeting will be on April 25th, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. All are invited to attend. Remember to display the flag of our country on April 16th (Easter Sunday).

Please keep our service men and women in our prayers. Pray for their safe and speedy return.

FINANCE OFFICER—The financial report was read and accepted.
CHAPLAIN—Tom reported Jeff Deutman underwent surgery on his back. Get well card was sent.
MORTUARY—Tom reported on the loss of a member. He was with the post for 12 years. He is John Gambaro. Card was sent to family.
GOOD OF THE LEGION— Tom announced that Bocce with start April 19th. If you are not a player, come to Milo’s and cheer on your favorite team.
50/50—Winners were Tom Messina, and Tony DeBello. Both returned their winnings.

When you receive this letter we will already have had four fish fry’s. This means we still have three more to go. As in the past Charlie will need help, either as workers or as customers. Thanking you in advance for all the hard work you all do to make them as successful as they have been.

FINANCE OFFICER—The financial report was read and accepted. Jim reminded all if your dues aren’t paid yet, please do so.

CHAPLAIN—Tom reported that we had two members under the weather. Al Lancaster had minor surgery. He was at the meeting and is feeling much better. And Bill Coby is the second. Cards were sent to both.

MORTUARY—Tom reported on the loss of a member. He was with the post for 28 years. He is Angelo Colombo. Card was sent to family.

HISTORIAN—John showed the members a piece of material he had, which will be the backdrop for some of the displays. He also has a new American flag as well as one bearing the emblems of all the branches of the service. He said they will be placed on the front wall at the top of the steps.

SERVICE OFFICER—Jim mentioned that Dave Passanesi donated a new sign he made for our Fish Fry. The members signed a card which when presented at a fish fry it will entitle him to two dinners as a thank you.

NEW BUSINESS—Fish Fry’s will begin on March 3rd.

GOOD OF THE LEGION— Tony DiBello mentioned how good USAA Insurance Company was and how helpful they are to veterans.

50/50—Winners were Tom Messina, Gary Garcia, and Jim Gualdoni.

When you receive this letter we will already have had our first fish fry. This means will still have six more to go. As in the past Charlie has all to help out, either as workers or as customers. Thanking you in advance for all the hard work to make them as successful as they have been.
